1. Who we are

2 Gems Media Pty Ltd is a Brisbane video production and photography company. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to 2 Gems Media.

2. Information we collect

When you subscribe, we collect the information you enter in the signup form, such as your email address and, if requested or supplied, your name. We also keep information about your consent, including when and how you subscribed.

Our newsletter service may automatically record technical and engagement information, such as your IP address, device or browser information, approximate location, email delivery, opens, clicks and unsubscribe activity.

3. Why we collect and use it

We use this information to:

• send the newsletter and content you asked to receive;
• manage subscriptions, preferences and unsubscribe requests;
• understand newsletter performance and improve future content;
• protect our mailing list from misuse and maintain reliable records of consent; and
• meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell or rent our subscriber list. We will not use your newsletter details for unrelated purposes without your consent unless permitted or required by law.

4. MailerLite and service providers

We use MailerLite to host our subscriber list, manage subscriptions and send newsletters. MailerLite processes personal information on our behalf and may use technologies such as tracking pixels and links to provide delivery and engagement reporting.

We may also disclose information to trusted technology, professional or regulatory service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the newsletter, protect our rights or comply with the law. These providers may only use the information for the services they provide to us.

5. Overseas processing

MailerLite and other technology providers may store or process personal information outside Australia. Privacy protections in those locations may differ from Australian law. We take reasonable steps when selecting and working with service providers to ensure personal information is handled appropriately.

6. Unsubscribing

You may withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter or by emailing us. We will action unsubscribe requests as soon as practicable and within the period required by Australian spam law.

After you unsubscribe, we may retain limited information on a suppression list so we can respect your request and avoid sending further marketing emails. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not prevent us from sending a necessary response to an enquiry or another non-marketing communication you request.

7. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No online system is completely secure, but we limit access to people and providers who need the information for the purposes described in this policy.

We keep subscriber information while you remain subscribed and for as long as reasonably required for consent, compliance, dispute-resolution and suppression records. Information that is no longer required is deleted or de-identified where appropriate.

8. Access and correction

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete information that we no longer need to retain. Contact us at info@2gems.media. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

9. Questions and complaints

If you have a privacy concern, email info@2gems.media with enough detail for us to investigate. We will acknowledge your concern and aim to respond within a reasonable period.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Questions or complaints about unwanted commercial email may also be directed to the Australian Communications and Media Authority.

10. Website analytics and enquiries

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website, including pages viewed, traffic sources, device information and approximate location. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. We measure successful enquiry submissions and clicks on phone and email links, without sending the contents of your enquiry, your name or your email address as part of these events. Advertising personalisation is disabled in our website analytics configuration.

Enquiry details are used to respond to your request and are processed by our email delivery provider. Google and our technology providers may process information outside Australia. You can control cookies through your browser settings and learn more about how Google uses information from websites or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

11. Connected social accounts

When a client authorises a Facebook Page or professional Instagram account for intelligence reporting, we may retrieve account and content performance information through Meta's APIs. This can include profile and media identifiers, post and Reel details, reach, views, interactions, follower trends and other account insights made available by Meta.

We use this information to prepare authorised reports, compare performance over time, identify strong content and maintain the connection. We do not use connected-account access to publish content, read messages, run advertising or manage comments unless separately agreed and authorised.

Account access can be withdrawn through Meta or by contacting us. Instructions for requesting deletion are available on our connected account data deletion page.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our newsletter practices, service providers or legal obligations change. The current version will remain available on this page with its effective date.
